I'm looking to get a mac Mini to replace my 2014 MBP this spring and have been looking at eGPUs. I hadn't heard of the razer but it looks pretty compelling.
I wanna get the latest Mac mini with the razor core X chroma.
I’m a little confused. Can I run my 5k ultrafine plugged into one port while the Razor is plugged into another?
Light gaming, nice design, very Quite fan noise = Blackmagic
Heaving gaming = Razer Core X
I have an LG ultrafine 5k display and i have bought a Black magic egpu my only issue with it is not powerful enough for my needs so I am looking at the razer core X with a 5700 XT.
How can I get my 2014 Mac mini to 60 hertz
How can I get my 2014mac min to 60 hertz
It's a NO Brainer for me Razor X enclosure for customization and upgradability.
I own an i7 iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4 GB. In addition I purchased the Samsung ultra-wide 49" screen. It is the first time I heard about eGPU. Yet I don't understand if this eGPU is working together with my intern GPU? Is there a kind of "division of labor" between the two GPUs here? What do I get at the end if I will have the Razer CoreX +Vega 64 and hoe will it work? Mainly I use my iMac for simulating flights with X-Plane (There transfer now code from OpenGL to Metal as I understand). Thanks for answer
Would you recommend the vega 64 air boost? Currently the only one available in the UK mac compatible
Thank you for your video! There are some other EGPU options in the $400 range.. the AMD Puck (get the faster newer one.. not the older slower one for $100 less). Just like the Black Magic.. not upgradable, but should be a big boost for laptop users and portable.. fairly portable, not like these EGPUs in this video. For long term, I think definitely an EGPU case that you can swap video cards as new ones come out. I am juggling numbers for Mac Mini + EGPU, vs MBP 15” (maybe add an EGPU to further accelerate some of my pro applications), iMac 27” 8 core SSD.. build to order with maximum video card…. and probably not need an EGPU for a long while… iMac Pro???? Mac Pro???? $5,999 to start… I don’t make that much money with my video editing.. probably not go that route… Anyway need to replace my 2014 MBP 15”. (Thunderbolt 2 and old old Nvidia dedicated anemic GPU). I’ll have to price each system out… but my gut feeling is iMac 27” and upgraded video card/ssd/8 gig of memory and upgrade memory by myself easily all for $3,500 is the smartest way dollar for what you get… but that is just a blind guess. I would like to get a Mac Mini 6 core though to add to the mix first… network render etc.. but I expect it would be smarter to put that $1,800 towards half of an iMac 27”. Especially when you have to add a EGPU to the $1,700 Mac mini…
I like the Mac Mini + eGPU setup. I think the Mac Mini is the best bang-for-your-buck (with easy to upgrade RAM) Desktop Mac. The main downside is no dedicated graphics card, so this is the perfect solution.
Kwad core
I have a late 2011 17" Macbook Pro with an AMD Radeon HD Graphics card, 16GB of RAM, and an i7 quad-core 2.4GHz processor; Is it compatible with the Razer Core X?
would it help or better to use it with my laptop Asus G703GI ?
CPU Core I7 8750H Ram 32 SSD and GPU 1080 and want to update to 2070 or 2080
why don't you mention that the Black magic eGPU is the only one that gives you more I/O. or what about a comparison on the eGPUs on BM Resolve.
the black magic truely does not recieve enough credit for what is it
Great now I know I can buy the 13" mbp and the Razer Core x
In mexico doesnt exist black magic egpu and the razer egpu with vega 64 is a best. And with this case you can upgrade the graphics
Niche, but a 3rd reason would be that Blackmagic has a working agreement with Apple and Apple is updating its Video applications; FCPX, Motion and Compress to USE the eGPU and Apple would do that to promote its working agreement rather than (cheaper) 3rd party peripherals…
On the other-hand, if you use something like Divinci Resolve, that will use any eGPU it finds and the faster get better.
Vega64s in OEM form are $399 on Amazon all day right now. Still a hell of a value.
Hi mate, I would like to know if makes sense buy that to use for coding because I have a 4K display and using a high resolution makes the computer slower and I’m wondering if that would help?
